This ritual is believed to keep the girls healthy and beautiful throughout the year. Other traditional elements include egg coloring\, where eggs are decorated with various patterns and colors using different techniques\, and Easter markets\, where traditional Easter delicacies and crafts are sold. \n \n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Easter in Eastern EuropeIn Slovakia\, there is a traditional custom called “šibačka” or “polievačka\,” which takes place on Easter Monday. In this custom\, boys chase girls out of their homes and then sprinkle or splash them with water\, often adorned with flowers or fragrant herbs. This activity symbolizes purification and renewal\, and it is believed to bring health and beauty to the girls for the rest of the year. In some areas\, this custom may be accompanied by the recitation of rhymed poems or carols.
